The International Civil Aviation Organisation – New Technologies Working Group is calling for proposals from experts on electronic machine-readable travel documents and the sharing or exchange of traveller information for the purpose of holder identification, document validation, and secure border control.
As part of its continued efforts to enhance traveller facilitation and secure border control, the NTWG is inviting entities to contribute information on strengthening eMRTDs, leveraging existing technologies, and exploring future forms of eMRTDs and associated systems.
This Request for Information presents a unique opportunity for organisations involved in the development, implementation, and use of eMRTDs to share their knowledge and contribute to the advancement of important global security standards. Submissions are open until 31 May 2024.
